Neonatal Ventilation

  • Volume Guarantee (VG) ventilation combines the advantages of pressure controlled ventilation while maintaining consistent tidal volumes to enhance your therapeutic possibilities facilitating the weaning process. The Volume Ventilation option offered in the Babylog® VN500 enables you to combine the benefits of Volume Guarantee ventilation with the enhanced safety of Mandatory Minute Ventilation (MMV), providing you with the most advanced volume ventilation tool for neonatal respiratory care Dräger has ever developed.

  • Automatic leakage compensation provides sensitive triggering even with changing ET-tube leakages. This unique function automatically adapts the trigger threshold to the ET-tube leakage, preventing auto cycling while providing a sensitive synchronization.

  • Pressure Support Ventilation (PSV) facilitates the weaning process to help to decrease ventilation time. Pressure Support Ventilation allows the infant more control over the respiratory pattern including synchronization at the end of the inspiration phase, not just the beginning. It maintains the optimal inspiratory time and automatically adjusts to changes in time constants during spontaneous breathing.

  • The BabyFlow™ nasal CPAP system designed for use with the family of Babylog® ventilators is easy to apply and delivers consistent CPAP levels. The use of standard patient tubing and reusable parts keep operating costs low. Its unique prong design and innovative fixation accessories are designed to reduce the trauma associated with the delivery of nasal CPAP.
